About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment and intervention services to adults with mental health disorders, autistic people, and individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment and intervention services to adults with mental health disorders, autistic people, and individuals with learning disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, healthcare assistants, psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to support service users in achieving their goals.
- Embed inclusive communication approaches across the service through communication training and creating accessible information.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings and care planning, providing the specialist Speech and Language Therapy perspective.
Requirements
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Relevant experience in assessment and management of communication disorders and dysphagia.
- Ability to manage time and caseload effectively.
- Supporting service users, families, and carers in dealing with the impacts of disability.
