Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a vital role in addressing health inequalities for adults with mental health disorders, autistic people, and/or learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Speech and Language Therapy assessments and interventions for the service.
  • Use best practice to inform your practice and where appropriate, standardized assessment tools and outcome measures.
  • Work with a full-time Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Contribute to the overall care plan using effective Speech and Language Therapy approaches and negotiate and communicate these with the client, family, carers, and other members of the treatment team.
  • Embed an inclusive communication approach across the service through communication training and creating accessible information.
  • Use a coproduction approach to support service user autonomy and help them to have a voice in their care.
  • Contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings/care and treatment planning, contributing the specialist Speech and Language Therapy perspective.
  • Participate in managerial supervision to maintain best practice.
