Speech and Language Therapist

New Reflexions is a leading provider of high-quality services for young people in therapeutic residential care and education. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our Clinical Team at our Head Office.
Main Responsibilities- Provide Speech and Language assessment, consultation, and oversight across our Learning Disability and Autism services.
- Support the development of communication-friendly environments across education and care settings.
- Staff training and consultation on the use and implementation of communication aids.
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Education, and care to contribute to Multi-Disciplinary formulations and care plans.
- Individualized assessment of the communication needs of children and ongoing monitoring and support.
- Ensure care and education settings follow the 5 good communication standards as identified by the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
- Supervise a therapy assistant in collaboration with Occupational Therapy.
- Experience working with pre-verbal and verbal children with Autism/Severe/Profound Learning Disabilities.
- Experience of working within the Looked After Child/CAMHS system.
- Active HCPC registration and completion of NQP competency framework.
- Relevant post-qualification experience to supervise a Therapy Assistant.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to work in challenging situations.
- Expertise in Autism assessment and Neurodiversity Affirming Approaches (desirable).
- IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database case management systems.
- A full UK driving license and access to own transport.
