Job Purpose

As a Store Manager at Dulux Decorating Centres, you'll be responsible for the smooth operation and growth of one of our stores. This will involve setting high standards for retail and operational excellence, overseeing in-store activities to achieve commercial plans, and developing your team to be the best they can be. You'll also focus on driving business growth in your local area to win market share.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage your team to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high service levels to differentiate the store from the competition.
  • Collaborate with Regional Operations Manager to develop talent and ensure the right culture, processes, and controls are in place to protect people, customers, and assets.
  • Role model AkzoNobel's Value and Leadership Behaviours.
  • Own the store's P&L, focusing on driving sales while optimizing margin, cost efficiency, and protecting against stock and cash losses.
  • Ensure customers receive a warm welcome, informed conversation, and personalized proposal every visit.
  • Review performance and implement improvements to achieve market-leading business performance.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales/account management and reviewing people/business performance.
  • Understanding of the importance of nurturing and inspiring teams.
  • Comfortable using business systems.
  • Commercially astute.
