Camp Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Camp Administrator to join our team at Barracudas Activity Day Camps. As a Camp Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our summer camps, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for our campers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Camp Preparation: Assist in the setup and organization of camp facilities, including the preparation of necessary documents and materials.
- Health and Safety: Enforce health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for campers and staff, and report any concerns to the Camp Manager or Area Manager.
- Communication: Update and communicate with Area Managers and Central Office on a daily/weekly basis, and process bookings taken at camp.
- Staff Support: Support staff in sessions when needed, and assist with the coordination of staff activities and events.
- Administrative Tasks: Complete forms relating to both staff and children correctly and efficiently, and store them securely.
- Additional Responsibilities: Act as an additional management figure to meet the needs of staff, parents, and children, and oversee children's Essential Information forms to ensure every child on camp has one.
Requirements:
- Organizational Skills: Be highly organized and time-efficient, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Have experience using Microsoft Excel/Word and have knowledge of Office 365, and be able to obtain and develop IT skills such as our in-house booking system.
- Eligibility: Be eligible to work in the UK, and obtain an enhanced DBS check through Barracudas or have an existing enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
- Professional References: Provide satisfactory professional/academic references, and attend and deliver Induction Training Day/s.
Additional Information:
- Health and Safety Obligations: Fulfil health and safety obligations by following procedures and safe systems as detailed in manuals and training.
- Child Protection: Report Child Protection concerns to a Designated Person at Central Office, and ensure staff are aware of any children who have additional, medical, or dietary needs.
- Swimming Sessions: Bring swimwear daily as may be required to support a swimming session.
