Job Title: Field Service Engineer II

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer II to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer II, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their analytical equipment is running at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform field service-related duties, including installations, repairs, and maintenance services for analytical equipment.
  • Provide technical support to customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology and product developments to provide expert advice to customers.
Requirements:
  • Background in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering, or related subjects.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience servicing analytical equipment, or equivalent experience as an applications specialist or end-user.
  • Knowledge of UV-Vis, FTIR, Molecular, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Sample Preparation, or high-throughput testing is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, self-motivational, and negotiating skills.
  • Proficient levels of PC literacy and a valid UK driving license.
