About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their analytical equipment is running at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field service-related duties, including installations, repairs, and maintenance services, to ensure customer satisfaction and meet service targets.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, resolving complex issues and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Work closely with internal teams to optimize service planning, dispatch, and reporting.
  • Manage company assets, including parts inventory, laptop computer, mobile phone, test equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of activities, including field service reports and expenses reports.
Requirements
  • Background in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related subjects.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience servicing analytical equipment, or equivalent applications specialist or end user experience.
  • Knowledge of UV-Vis/FTIR/Molecular, Liquid Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Gas Chromatography, Sample Preparation, or high throughput testing is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to balance multiple tasks with different priorities, and excellent interpersonal and self-motivational skills.
  • Proficient levels of PC literacy, valid UK driving license, and willingness to travel 5 days a week within territory.
