About the Role
Nigel Wright Group is seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Manager to lead the production planning and customer service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and cost-effective material planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all planning activities, including works order creation, scheduling, and planning controls best practice.
- Develop and implement a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to support the company's strategy and achieve 98% inventory service level.
- Ensure the effective use of systems such as Production Forecasting and Evaluation Process (PFEP) and S&OP to drive continuous improvement in planning activities and Finished Goods Stock (FGS) control.
- Ensure that production planning policies are aligned with the inventory control objectives of the company and the Corporation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, managing a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
- Lean training and experience, with a strong understanding of system-focused processes.
- Experience managing an S&OP process and a proven track record of achieving inventory service level targets.
