We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our community paediatrics service, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to children across Lanarkshire, working closely with our renal and continence teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the continence team and serving as the link person with the renal team. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop our community paediatric services and contribute to our centre of excellence in secondary paediatric care.
The job is offered on a full-time basis, with a 10 PA breakdown of 8 Direct Clinical Care and 2 Supporting Professional Activity. We welcome applications from those wishing to work less than full-time, subject to confirmation and approval of the final job plan. The post also involves an on-call commitment to the Child Protection rota.
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will have the opportunity to work in our Community Child Health clinic, continence, and renal clinics. You will see children with common problems such as neurodevelopmental disorders, sleep, and developmental delay. You will also be responsible for leading the continence service and working closely with the renal team.
The Community Child Health Service is a Lanarkshire-wide service, provided from Health Centres and Community clinics throughout the area. Our team consists of 5 Consultant Community Paediatricians, with further service delivery by 2 Specialty Doctors.
