Job Overview

The NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician to join our team. As a key member of our Community Child Health Service, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children across Lanarkshire, working closely with our renal and continence services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the continence team and serve as the link person with the renal team
• Develop and implement community paediatric services, working towards a centre of excellence in secondary paediatric care
• Work across community services, including Community Child Health clinics, continence, and renal clinics
• Provide care to children with common problems, such as neurodevelopmental disorders, sleep, and developmental delay

Service Overview

The Community Child Health Service is a Lanarkshire-wide service, provided from Health Centres and Community clinics throughout the area. Our team consists of 5 Consultant Community Paediatricians, with further service delivery by 2 Specialty Doctors and 3 Paediatricians involved with care-experienced children.

Modernisation and Development

The continence service is undergoing a modernisation process, aiming to develop a more enhanced service and ensure a multidisciplinary approach is achieved.
