Consultant Paediatrician

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Consultant Paediatrician. This is a substantive post arising from retirements, offering a unique opportunity to develop community paediatric services and contribute to our centre of excellence in secondary paediatric care.

The successful candidate will work across community services, leading the continence team and serving as the link person with the renal team. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality care across Lanarkshire in community paediatrics, working with both renal and continence services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care to children with common problems, including neurodevelopmental disorders, sleep, and developmental delay.
  • Lead the continence service, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach is achieved.
  • Collaborate with the renal team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Work closely with the Community Child Health Service, providing clinics and services to children throughout Lanarkshire.

Requirements

  • Full-time post on a 10 PA basis, with a breakdown of 8 Direct Clinical Care and 2 Supporting Professional Activity.
  • On-call commitment to the Child Protection rota.
  • Ability to work less than full-time, subject to confirmation and approval of the final job plan.
