Job Overview: Arm Limited is a leading technology company responsible for developing innovative solutions to the next generation of challenges. Our Central Technology Group examines and defines the future of Arm solutions, considering full system-level performance models to ensure optimal power and area (PPA) in premium mobile, infrastructure, and automotive markets.

We are seeking a skilled System Performance Modelling Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating system-level performance models, exploring new technologies, and evaluating their behaviour. You will need to understand new features, implement them using performance models, and work with system architects to improve their performance.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with architects on future systems within Arm.
  2. Create full system models using a range of IP models from across the company.
  3. Run system performance characterization and optimization studies.
  4. Develop exploration models for system components like Coherent/Non-Coherent interconnects, Last Level Caches (LLC/SLC), Dynamic memory controller (DDR5, LPDDR5/6, HBM etc).
  5. Lead exploration studies aimed at determining the efficiency of proposed IP features in a system context.
  6. Build infrastructure to enable better inspection and root-cause analysis of such systems.
  7. Contribute to defining the future direction of system performance modelling across Arm.


Salary Information: We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 per annum, including an annual bonus, RSUs, healthcare, and wellness support. Other benefits include a supplementary pension, 25 days annual leave, and option to buy an additional 5 days per year.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a strong computer architecture, microarchitecture, and performance experience.
  • Experience in developing and using cycle approximate/accurate performance models.
  • Experience in generating pre-silicon/pre-RTL performance projections and performance bottleneck debug and analysis.
  • Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate with colleagues in other groups and sites.
