We are seeking an experienced Environmental Modeller to join our team at the International Society for Industrial Ecology.

As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining environmental models written in Python. These models will support farmers and food companies in reducing their environmental impacts globally.

Your primary objective will be to write and maintain high-quality code that ensures the accuracy and reliability of our models. You will also be expected to collaborate with our software development team to integrate our model libraries with existing tools used by farmers and food companies.

To be successful in this role, you must have expertise in Python programming and experience with environmental modelling, particularly using Life Cycle Assessment. Your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate scalability and performance issues will enable you to create reliable and resilient software.

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, which reflects the significance of your role in helping us achieve our mission. You will work with a talented team of environmental scientists and software developers in a world-leading University environment.

The role is a self-employed/freelance consultancy contract initially lasting 18 months, with the option for renewal. Our projects involve international collaborations and field trials worldwide, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
