Oxford, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom International Society for Industrial Ecology Full time

This Sustainability Data Specialist position involves working with a team of experts to develop and implement environmental models that reduce the global agricultural system's environmental impact. As a key contributor to our project, you will use Python to build and improve these models, ensuring they are accurate, reliable, and scalable.

You will work closely with our software development team to integrate our model libraries with existing tools used by farmers and food companies. This integration will enable us to quantify the effects of our models on environmental sustainability.

An essential aspect of this role is writing and maintaining high-quality code that meets our standards. You must have strong expertise in Python programming and experience with environmental modelling, particularly using Life Cycle Assessment.

We offer a highly competitive salary of $130,000 per year, reflecting the importance of this role in achieving our mission. You will be part of a dynamic team working towards a common goal – reducing the environmental footprint of the global food system.

The initial contract duration is 18 months, with the option for renewal. Our project involves international partnerships and field trials, offering opportunities for career advancement and personal growth.
