Opportunity to Make a Global Impact

The role is an ~18 months self-employed/freelance consultancy contract initially, with the option for renewal. As a Python developer, you will work on building and improving environmental impact assessment models that support farmers and food companies in reducing their environmental impacts at the global level.

We are looking for an expert in Python to write and maintain environmental models, support other software needs across the Hestia stack, and ensure code quality through tests, in accordance with good practices. The ideal candidate has expertise in Python, experience with environmental modelling, particularly using Life Cycle Assessment, or a desire to develop industry-leading knowledge in this area during the project.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with environmental scientists and software developers in a world leading University, working on projects that involve partnerships with international organisations and field trials in countries worldwide. This is a unique chance to contribute to solving environmental and food security challenges.

Estimated salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year.
