Job Title: Researcher in Sustainable Food Systems

The University of Oxford is seeking a researcher to work on the THRIVING Food Futures research hub, a collaborative space for academics, policymakers, and the public to co-design healthy and sustainable diets.

We are looking for an expert with a strong background in population health or a related field to join our team as a researcher. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing algorithms to identify healthy and/or sustainable foods
  • Testing these algorithms against policymaker judgments
  • Presenting results at project meetings and in reports

To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD in population health or a related field, strong quantitative analysis skills, and experience working on healthy and/or sustainable diet projects.

You will be based in the Gibson Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. Remote working arrangements can be agreed with your line manager.

This is a two-year position funded by UK Research and Innovation, NIHR, EPSRC, MRC, and NERC. Salary: £49,500 per annum.
