Research Scientist - Primary Care & Nutrition
Join our dynamic team at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford, as a Research Scientist focused on primary care and nutrition. In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a policy tool called a Nutrient and Environment Profiling Model (NEPM), which aims to support national and local policies for healthy and sustainable diets.

About the Role
As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and refining algorithms to identify healthy and sustainable food options, collaborating with policymakers to test and validate algorithmic outputs, and presenting results at project meetings and in reports. You will also contribute to the co-design of the NEPM tool and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure its effective implementation. This role requires strong quantitative analysis skills, experience working on projects related to healthy and sustainable diets, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and refine algorithms for identifying healthy and sustainable food options
* Collaborate with policymakers to test and validate algorithmic outputs
* Present results at project meetings and in reports
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the NEPM tool

Requirements
* PhD in population health or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Strong quantitative analysis skills
* Experience working on projects related to healthy and sustainable diets
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including generous annual leave, pension scheme, and professional development opportunities.
