Climate Transition Expert

We are seeking a Climate Transition Expert to join our team at Aviva, a leading insurance company committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2040. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping our climate strategy and delivering projects to support the transition to net zero of our investment portfolio.

About the Role

The Climate Transition Expert will provide expertise and leadership in climate science to help shape the overall direction of our technical work and deliver projects to support the transition to net zero of our investment portfolio. This will involve undertaking bespoke analysis of climate-related data, climate metrics, and related work, and contributing to internal and external reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in climate metrics, ESG/climate datasets, and providers
  • Develop and apply sector and regional carbon pathways and carbon reporting methodologies
  • Lead on any Group-related target setting, such as the SBTi target refresh and business planning work
  • Support the publication of the Climate Transition Plan and other climate-related reporting
