Main Responsibilities
  • Prescribe medication and evaluate patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Implement specialist treatment plans for chronic disease patients and provide advanced specialist care as required.
  • Manage patients presenting with complex medical needs and maintain accurate clinical records.
  • Support the team with clinical emergencies and request/review pathology test/results.
  • Review and update clinical letters and discharge summaries.
Requirements
  • Registered first-level nurse with MSc or equivalent and current registration with the NMC.
  • Independent prescriber qualification and mentor/teaching qualification.
  • Clinical supervision training and advanced clinical practice skills.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and lead in various settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience working in primary care and SystmOne experience.
  • Use of AccuRx or PATCHs total triage systems.
