Locum Consultant Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant Physician to join our Elderly Care team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of new models of care for frail elderly people in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patients admitted to the Elderly Care ward and those admitted under your care while on call for Acute Frailty.
- Stream patients to the Frailty Short Stay Unit or one of the 5 Frailty Base wards for longer admissions.
- Participate in an Acute Frailty On-call service, paired with another Consultant for 12-week blocks.
- Contribute to the teaching, research, and governance programs within the Department.
Requirements:
- Full registration with the GMC and the ability to make decisions at a senior level.
- Experience in managing complex co-morbidities and subspecialist interests.
