Job Title: Materials Services Officer

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Materials Services Officer to join our team at Staffline Recruitment (NI) Ltd. in Derry/L'Derry.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective Electronic Materials Management service using regional EMM systems. This will involve supporting the day-to-day operations of the hospital by ordering, delivering, and putting away EMM goods, as well as being involved in receipt, picking, and issuing of goods at the receipts and distribution points.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working to a pre-determined schedule, scanning or recording the quantities of items of ward/departmental level stocks to be reordered and inputting the data to the EMM system, liaising with customers as appropriate.
  2. Delivery of goods to ward level, removal of packaging, put away of goods into pre-arranged bin locations within the ward stores, and removal of waste packaging to designated points.
  3. Liaising with customers on supply matters such as the quality of goods, delivery arrangements, and planned usage.
  4. Use of technology where available to assist in the flow of information, e.g., bar code scanners, printers, PCs, and other wireless equipment.
  5. Ensuring that supplies delivered are located according to agreed customer requirements.
  6. Receipt and checking of non-stock deliveries at the receipt and distribution points.
Essential Criteria:
  • 2 years of relevant experience in a procurement or logistics environment or 3 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English plus 1 year of relevant experience in a procurement or logistics environment.
  • Skills: public sector logistics procurement.
