About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Specialist to join our team at SGS Care Ltd. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people who require our care.

As a Residential Care Specialist, you will be working closely with our experienced team to provide high-quality support to our service users. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being, creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.

With a strong focus on therapeutic care, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans that address each individual's unique needs. Your expertise in childcare and youth work will enable you to build strong relationships with our service users, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with children aged 6-17 who have experienced trauma and neglect. You will provide one-to-one therapeutic care, acting as a positive role model and supporting them in achieving their educational and social goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to our service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

  • Build strong relationships with our service users, fostering trust and encouraging them to reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this).
  • Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
