IT System Administrator - Technical Expert
This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role within the IT department of OSJCT, a large not-for-profit organisation.
As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of Trust systems, hardware, and software. You will resolve hardware and software errors, liaising with team members, business colleagues, and third-party product vendors as necessary.
You will oversee and implement application and OS patches and upgrades, as well as manage and configure cloud-based services such as Office . You will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation, producing documentation for support knowledge, procedures, and call scripts that facilitate enhanced and continually improving support practices.
You will also lead in managing availability and capacity planning with strong inputs into problem and change management processes.
About the role:
- Proven and demonstrable experience in core areas of Microsoft OS, application, and Office management and troubleshooting.
- At least three years of operational experience of system administration or IT services support in a multi-site organisation.
- Experience in the management and implementation of OS patching and data backup.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based systems and IaaS technologies.
