We are seeking a skilled Primary Care Diabetes Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our nationwide team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and improving outcomes for individuals with Type 2 diabetes. This is a full-time or part-time opportunity (4 days per week minimum) with a competitive annual salary of approximately £45,000, plus a bonus incentive scheme worth up to 10% of your annual salary. You will be responsible for identifying sub-optimally controlled patients with Type 2 diabetes, optimising their oral therapy, conducting point of care testing, and referring for specialist insulin treatment where necessary. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, identifying and engaging with patients who require optimisation of their oral hypoglycaemics, conducting point of care testing, and exercising corporate nursing responsibilities. To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum of 3 years experience managing diabetes within primary care, a degree-level qualification in a relevant field, full driving licence and current NMC registration, and IT literacy, including primary care systems.
