Sales Director

A Sales Director opportunity has arisen with Freight Personnel, a leading Courier and Parcel delivery business focussing on next-day or scheduled courier deliveries. The company also offers secure services for the delivery of items of value.
Freight Personnel operates a private members delivery network, catering mainly for the legal, financial and public sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring their home Service Centre exceeds its revenue budget by exceeding personal new business targets and developing market sector development plans within their own catchment area.
Key Responsibilities:- To exceed personal new business targets by building close and effective working relationships with contacts within prospective customers and implementing sales strategies to meet targets.
- To develop and implement market sector development plans within their own catchment area, making best use of Fleet capacity to collect from prospect customers.
- To track performance of new customers and ensure they trade to agreed profiles.
- Extensive experience within the delivery/logistics sector or Retail, FMCG sector.
- Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, networking and campaign management).
- Proven sales ability with historic success at exceeding new business targets, while excelling at customer retention through professional account management, development and planning skills.
- Able to travel within designated territory and work with minimal supervision.
- Microsoft (Excel, Word, Email, Access, Power Point) skills.
- Able to work both alone and as part of a team.
- Flexible work ethic.
The salary for this role is £35,000 to £40,000 basic, plus commission paid monthly. Commission can reach up to £25,000 extra. Additionally, the package includes 10% on revenue at 3 months and 15% at 6 months. Other benefits include a Company Car (Mercedes A Class, Audi A3, BMW 1 Series) or car allowance, pension, mobile, laptop, and 25 days holiday.
