About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team in Nottinghamshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to women and their families in the perinatal period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and provide one-to-one and group-based therapeutic interventions for women experiencing mental health problems related to complex trauma or attachment difficulties.
  • Provide supervision, consultation, and training to colleagues within the MDT and the wider maternity system.
  • Develop and deliver specialist training packages on mental health and risk management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A good Honours degree in Psychology and a Post-graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
  • Additional training in therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience of working with women and their families who have complex mental health difficulties.
  • Knowledge of current Mental Health policy and Legislation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
