Job Description: Mental Health and Learning Specialist
About the Position:This role involves working closely with students to identify and address mental health issues, providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote mental health and well-being among students, including counseling, coaching, and advocacy.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, counselors, and other staff members to provide comprehensive support services to students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths and areas for improvement, developing personalized plans to help them achieve their goals.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians to ensure timely interventions and support.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working with students with mental health issues, particularly those with anxiety, depression, or trauma-related disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of best practices in mental health and learning, including assessment, intervention, and prevention strategies.
Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is approximately £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
