About the Role
"As a Clinical Specialist Liaison Psychiatrist, you will work within the Mental Health division, which comprises three directorates: Adult Mental Health, Mental Health Services for Older People, and Specialist Services. Your main duties will include working with the High Volume service user team based within Nottingham University, providing specialist assessment and interventions for patients with significant mental health conditions, including those with dementia diagnoses.

"Responsibilities
"As a Clinical Specialist Liaison Psychiatrist, your key responsibilities will include:
"• Working collaboratively with the High Volume service user team based within Nottingham University to provide specialist assessment and interventions for patients with significant mental health conditions.
"• Providing education and supervision to junior staff members and other professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
"• Developing and maintaining accurate, timely, and relevant clinical records, both written and computerized.
"• Ensuring that all interventions are evidence-based and designed to reduce stress and anxiety, manage risk, and aid recovery.
"Requirements
"To be successful in this role, you must have:
"• Current registration with the NMC.
"• A professional clinical qualification, plus further specialist knowledge or post-registration experience to diploma/degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills in mental health underpinned by theory or other formal training.
"• Recent experience working within a Liaison Psychiatry setting.
"• Previous experience of working with adults aged over 65 and people with a dementia diagnosis.
"• Evidence of post-graduate CPD.
"• Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities, a high level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to provide clinical supervision and leadership.
