About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert mental health nursing care to patients with a range of mental disorders, substance misuse, learning disability, or co-morbidity.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
  • Supervise and mentor students and clinical/healthcare support workers in the provision of care and treatment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our services.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration.
  • Excellent team working skills and ability to work using own initiative.
  • Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA license and access to vehicle essential for community posts.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Further education/evidence of continuous professional development relevant to post.
  • Degree or working towards degree level education in a relevant subject.
  • Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and experience working across agencies.
  • Mental Health community experience.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in recovery-focused care and treatment for people with mental health issues.
  • Aware of mental health issues and impact to individual, families, and community.
