We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert mental health nursing care to patients with a range of mental disorders, substance misuse, learning disability, or co-morbidity.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and provide interventions to promote recovery and well-being.
- Supervise and mentor students and clinical/healthcare support workers in the provision of care and treatment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our services.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Excellent team working skills and ability to work using own initiative.
- Effective listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA license and access to vehicle essential for community posts.
- Further education/evidence of continuous professional development relevant to post.
- Degree or working towards degree level education in a relevant subject.
- Experience of working within multi-disciplinary teams and experience working across agencies.
- Mental Health community experience.
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions in recovery-focused care and treatment for people with mental health issues.
- Aware of mental health issues and impact to individual, families, and community.
- A minimum of 27 days annual leave increasing with length of service.
- A minimum of 8 days of public holidays.
