Youth Residential Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our residential service in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.
The Together Trust Centre is one of the North West's leading charities, providing individual care, support, and education to hundreds of children, young people, and adults each year.
Job Description:You will be working in a supportive home environment with a dedicated team under the leadership of the Registered Manager, nurturing and developing the skills of the young people to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:- Support less experienced staff via effective team working, to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Centre.
- Contribute to establishing an enabling culture, which promotes the young people's life chances to achieve optimal outcomes in line with the Quality Care Standards.
- Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of systems and policies to ensure compliance with legislative regulations and achieve high standards of care.
- Supervise and/or undertake keyworking responsibilities, including primary responsibility for complex cases, especially where safeguarding issues are involved.
- Develop and maintain a good level of awareness of safeguarding issues, assessing and recording risk.
- An essential requirement for this role is a QCF Level 4 qualification in Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or equivalent.
- A good standard of written English and IT skills is required, as you will be writing reports and keeping records of the young people's progress.
- Transporting children/young people to activities or school is a requirement. A driving licence held for at least 12 months would be desirable.
This role offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
- Annual Leave: 27 days plus 8 days bank holidays, rising to 30 after 5 years and 33 after 10 years.
