We invite applications for a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker role at our residential service in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The Together Trust Centre has been making a positive impact in local communities for over a century, delivering exceptional care and support to children, young people, and adults.

About This Opportunity:

You will be working closely with the Registered Manager and the wider team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for the young people, replicating a family home atmosphere.

Main Job Responsibilities:
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Offer support and mentorship to less experienced staff members, fostering high-quality teamwork and care delivery.
  • Enablement and Empowerment: Contribute to establishing an enabling culture, empowering young people to reach their full potential while adhering to quality care standards.
  • Policy Implementation: Participate in the development, implementation, and review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance and excellent care delivery.
  • Keyworker and Supervisor: Assume keyworking responsibilities, focusing on safeguarding and risk management for complex cases.
  • Safeguarding Expertise: Develop and maintain expertise in safeguarding principles, actively addressing and recording risks.
Essential Requirements:
  • A valid QCF Level 4 qualification in children, young people, and families practice is necessary.
  • Excellent written communication and IT skills are required for report writing and progress tracking.
  • Driving and transporting children to activities or school are essential duties; holding a driving license for 12 months is advantageous.
