Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our team in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. The salary for this role is £22,000 per annum.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to young people in a residential setting, working closely with the Registered Manager and the wider team.

Main Duties
  1. Child Care Planning: Develop and implement individual care plans that meet the needs of each young person, promoting their independence and well-being.
  2. Team Support: Provide guidance and support to less experienced staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  3. Safeguarding: Contribute to the establishment of a safe and enabling culture, assessing and recording risks, and demonstrating awareness of safeguarding issues.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of young people's progress, including their care plans and any relevant information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A QCF Level 4 qualification in children, young people, and families practitioner or equivalent.
  • Good written English and IT skills to write reports and maintain records of young people's progress.
  • A driving licence (held for 12 months) for transporting young people to activities or schools.
