Child Health Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Child Health Specialist to join our Stockport NHS Foundation Trust team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Public Health Nurse Leader to contribute to the promotion of public health through early intervention using restorative approaches with families.
The successful candidate will lead a team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to school-aged children in line with service specification, contributing to the development and implementation of national and local priorities for children and families. They will participate in the delivery of RSE programmes, offer confidential school nurse health clinics for young people, and undertake holistic health assessments of vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to deliver the Healthy Child Programme to school-aged children
- Contribute to the development and implementation of national and local priorities for children and families
- Participate in the delivery of RSE programmes
- Offer confidential school nurse health clinics for young people
- Undertake holistic health assessments of vulnerable children and young people
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification
- SCPHN qualification
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
Salary: £45,840 per annum (Band 6)
This is a term-time only position, working 21 hours per week. The trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
