About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Specialist to join our team at the Stockport Living Well service.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments of individuals referred to the service, identifying appropriate management plans, and providing support and guidance to junior members of staff.

Main Duties
  • Conduct thorough assessments of service users' current mental health problems and individual needs.
  • Develop individualised packages of care for service users with mental health problems.
  • Evaluate systematically and record outcomes of mental health interventions.
  • Provide education and self-help resources to patients specific to their needs.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants should possess a strong understanding of current mental health legislation, safeguarding, and child protection legislation. They should also have knowledge of NICE Guidance in the treatment of mental health problems and experience working with individuals who present to mental health services in crisis.

The ideal candidate will have a creative and supportive approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A post-graduate diploma level qualification or higher is preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £43,141 - £50,618 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.
