We are seeking a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker to join our residential service in Stockport. As one of the North West's leading charities, the Together Trust offers individual care, support, and education to hundreds of children, young people, and adults each year.

About the Role:

You will be working in a caring home environment with the wider team under the leadership of the Registered Manager, nurturing and supporting the young people, providing them with all the care and support that they would receive as if it was their family home.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Support Less Experienced Staff: You will provide positive and effective team working, achieving high-quality standards of care set by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust.
  • Establish an Enabling Culture: Participate in establishing a culture that promotes young people's life chances, achieving optimal outcomes in line with quality care standards.
  • Contribute to Policy Development: Contribute to developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing systems and policies ensuring compliance with legislative regulations and high standards.
  • Supervise and Keywork: Supervise and undertake keyworking responsibilities, including primary responsibility for complex cases, especially where safeguarding issues are involved.
  • Safeguarding Awareness: Develop, demonstrate, promote, and maintain good awareness of safeguarding issues, assessing and recording risk.
Requirements:
  • A QCF Level 4 in children, young people, and families practitioner or equivalent is essential.
  • A good standard of written English and IT skills are necessary, as you will be writing reports and keeping records of children's progress.
  • Transporting children to activities or school is a requirement; a driving licence held for 12 months is desirable.

This service is regulated by Ofsted; all employees must be over 22 years old at the time of joining the service.

To comply with apprenticeship funding rules, applicants must evidence right to work in the UK without additional approval for more than 20 hours each week throughout the year and have eligible residency status.
