Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transactions Officer to join our team on a full-time basis for 6 months.

The role is 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have purchase ledger experience and be proficient in IT, including Microsoft Office and Excel.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Processing creditor invoices via the accounts payable system and ensuring payments are made on time.
  2. Performing weekly payment runs, ensuring suppliers receive payments within agreed terms.
  3. Managing credit and debit balances, including handling credit card top-up requests.
  4. Administering insurance claims and supporting the annual renewal process.
  5. Posting direct debit payments and housing benefit payments from councils onto our system.
  6. Ensuring compliance with internal controls and maintaining accurate financial records.

About the role:

  • Purchase ledger experience required.
  • Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Familiarity with finance systems such as Open Accounts and Active H (not essential).
  • Experience with sales ledger accounting processes (not essential).
