Simpson Judge Finance Team:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team in Burnley, Lancashire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily banking, processing customer receipts, and supporting the credit controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Banking and Transactions: Managing daily banking, cheques, cash, and BACS transactions.
  • Receipts and Payments: Accurate allocation and processing of customer receipts and purchase invoices.
  • Credit Control Support: Assisting the credit controller with tasks and queries.
  • VAT and Compliance: Ensuring adherence to VAT regulations and procedures.
  • General Admin Duties: Performing various administrative tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Transaction Experience: Strong knowledge of transactional duties, including supervisory experience.
  • Ledger Experience: Previous Sales ledger and Purchase ledger experience.
  • Cash Handling: Experience handling cash and financial transactions.
  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and management.
