Bone Marrow Transplant Clinical Research Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic paediatric research nurse to join our dynamic research nursing team within the Bone Marrow Transplant speciality on a full-time permanent contract.

The Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit has the largest paediatric Stem Cell Transplant (SCT) programme in Europe, providing a comprehensive SCT service including autologous and allogeneic procedures for patients with Haematology, Oncology, Immunology, Metabolic disease, Rheumatology and Gastroenterology diseases.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the band 7 research nurse leading and coordinating the delivery of the BMT speciality research portfolios.
  • Promote high standards of both patient care and research practice.
  • Manage your own workload and work as part of a team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated paediatric nurse with BMT experience. You must have effective organisational skills and be looking for a new and exciting challenge.

Requirements
  • NMC Registered Nurse and relevant nursing qualification.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development relating to clinical specialty.
  • Leadership and management training.
  • Assessor or practice supervisor qualification/experience.

  • Relevant specialist skills and abilities in caring for children receiving treatment for undergoing Bone Marrow Transplant.
  • Excellent paediatric clinical skills.
  • Committed to family centred care.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and numeracy skills.
