Job Summary

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse to join the Rheumatology Research Team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment, contributing to the advancement of clinical knowledge in rheumatology.

About the Role

The Clinical Research Nurse will be responsible for recruiting participants to rheumatology research projects, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and data protection guidelines. The successful candidate will work closely with clinicians and academics, developing clinical research nursing skills and knowledge to support participants with study participation.

Main Duties

  • Recruit and manage a portfolio of clinical research studies, adhering to Good Clinical Practice and data protection guidelines.
  • Act as a patient advocate, promoting wellbeing needs and supporting patients through their clinical research.
  • Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and conducting study visits for research participants.
  • Manage study documents, data collection, and study protocols, ensuring adherence to local practice and GCP.
  • Be proactive in establishing personal development needs and attend training.
  • Contribute to the organisation of the department and creation of standard operating procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and external stakeholders, managing workload and using effective decision-making skills.
