Key Responsibilities:- As a Commercial Lending Director, you will be part of the Regional Commercial team, driving the future growth of the Bank by landing and maintaining a growing book of commercial lending customers.
- Manage an active portfolio of Regional Commercial Banking customers, working closely with the Business Development teams and Lending Directors to convert leads and grow the bank with the acquisition of new borrowing customers.
- Develop and maintain active and influential business relationships with key market professionals, clients, and customers, representing Metro Bank Plc in the commercial market.
- Manage, influence, and build an internal network across Metro Bank Plc to maintain our One Team, highly customer-centric approach.
- Manage risk, including Credit, Operational, and Regulatory.
- Partner with key internal colleagues, stakeholders, and teams to deliver required propositions and pricing requirements, risk policies, with reporting set and managed within appetites.
- Support Commercial Analysts in their lending fulfillment.
- Be a role model for the Regional Commercial Team and Metro Bank Plc when dealing with customers, intermediaries, and colleagues.
- A proven track record of commercial lending within commercial/corporate banking environments, ideally having worked as a Commercial Banking Manager or equivalent within financial services.
- A track record in successfully building, maintaining, and growing valuable commercial banking relationships and experience converting leads.
- Experienced in credit writing, financial analysis, and report writing for customers with complex needs.
- A strong understanding of Financial Crime, AML, KYC requirements, as well as TCF/conduct expectations and a good working knowledge of risk management.
- To understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank Plc, and all our stakeholders.
