Job Title: Senior Health Care Support Worker

Job Summary:

The Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and clinical support to patients, prioritizing workload and developing competencies

• Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality care

• Assist with venepuncture, cannulation, and other clinical procedures under the guidance of a registered healthcare professional

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement

• Participate in training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexible approach to working hours and tasks

• Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and support
