About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our emergency services team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical leadership and guidance to our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessments of referrals and admissions to our service
  • Diagnose and formulate management plans in complex presentations
  • Provide management in treatment-resistant and complex presentations
  • Assess and manage risk, including vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety, and risk of harm to others
  • Work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams, including external partners

Requirements

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months
  • Approved clinician status or able to achieve within three months of appointment
