Our client is a market-leading Plant provider that offers a wide range of premium brands and comprehensive services to the plant and construction industries.

Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to drive sales growth and expand our customer base within your designated region. You will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, building strong relationships with key stakeholders in the construction and plant sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a sales strategy for the region, aligned with company goals and objectives.
  2. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  3. Account Management: Manage key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business. Gather and analyse market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
  4. Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Monitor and report on sales performance, preparing accurate forecasts and pipelines. Provide regular updates to the Sales Director on progress and market conditions.
  5. Networking & Events: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings. Network with key industry professionals to build a strong presence in the market.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales role within the construction equipment, plant machinery, or heavy equipment industry.
  • Demonstrable success in meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and build long-term client relationships.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant sales tools.
  • A full UK driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the designated area.

Competitive salary £60,000-£80,000 per annum, plus benefits.
