About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled School Premises Manager to join our team at Aspire People.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are maintained to a high standard, including routine and reactive maintenance tasks, overseeing general upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities, and managing health and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Liaising with contractors for more complex repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Managing and maintaining health and safety standards, including conducting regular risk assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to building maintenance and health and safety inspections.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a maintenance role, preferably within a school or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DIY/maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including early starts and responding to emergencies outside normal working hours.
  • Knowledge of building systems, such as heating, lighting, and security.
