About the Department:
Glasgow Royal Infirmary's Emergency Department is a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment, providing care for a diverse city population. We deliver consultant-led care 7 days a week until midnight and beyond, with a mix of overnight resident consultant cover and enhanced middle-grade cover. Our department prides itself on its excellent working links with Critical Care and Acute Medicine, in-patient surgical teams, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

About the Team:
Our team is renowned for its high standard of clinical learning, evidenced by consistent recognition at National and Local Teaching Excellence Awards. We continue to evolve our education program to involve the entire clinical team, with established simulation training programs, clinical teaching fellows, and a dedicated Quality Improvement team.

Opportunities:
As a Trauma Unit within the West of Scotland Major Trauma Network, we have a Trauma Team established within the department, integrating Emergency Medicine teams with both Surgical and Critical Care specialties. We are active participants in local and multicentre research trials, with dedicated research staff and strong links to Glasgow University and the Clinical Research Facility.

Salary:
