Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Health Care Specialist to join our team at Canada Life Group (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our Protection Assessment department, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer health declarations are assessed accurately and efficiently.

About the Role

This is a highly rewarding opportunity for an individual with a strong background in medical underwriting and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will work closely with colleagues to achieve service excellence and ensure that customers receive fair outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • To assess customer health declarations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To follow established processes to ensure that assessments are carried out fairly and in line with governance requirements.
  • To challenge existing processes and propose improvements to enhance the customer experience.
  • To work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality service and achieve agreed-upon standards.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of GR1 or equivalent industry-recognised qualification.
  • Experience of working within a Medical Underwriting Team and making accurate risk assessments from customer health declarations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all types of customers and contribute to a team delivering service excellence.
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage own workload, prioritising cases when required.

What We Offer

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
