Ledger Coordinator

A highly skilled Ledger Coordinator is required to join a reputable construction company in Romford, Essex. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing multiple subcontractor payment runs with exceptional accuracy and efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of coordinating and managing subcontractor certifications, labour-material splits, and CIS allocations. Your expertise will directly support the company's ongoing growth and reputation for reliability within the industry.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work to and meet deadlines. The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £35,000 per annum.
Main areas of responsibility:
* Input subcontractor ledger certifications into the COINs system using data from PayApps
* Ensure accurate calculation and processing of labour-material splits and CIS allocations
* Handle the weekly subcontractor ledger payment process, securing approval from the Commercial Director
* Coordinate with Quantity Surveyors to ensure timely receipt and processing of subcontractor certifications
* Conduct CIS verifications for new subcontractors and perform annual compliance checks for existing subcontractors
* Distribute monthly CIS statements to subcontractors
* Verify that subcontractor insurance details are current and compliant before authorizing payments
* Match and attach subcontractor invoices to COINs, ensuring alignment with draft certifications
* Enter purchase ledger invoices into COINs when subcontractor-related tasks allow
* Oversee the weekly labour payment run when subcontractor workload permits
