Job Summary:

The Direct Care Worker provides clients with various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care, allowing them to remain in their residence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Personal Care:
    • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, nail/skin care, back care, foot care, shampoo, oral hygiene, ambulation, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices, change of position, toileting, commode, incontinent care, meal planning, preparation, and assistance with feeding.
  2. Companion/Sitter/Household Management:
    • Provide companionship and respite services for family members.
    • Perform homemaking activities including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
  3. Medication Assistance Services:
    • Administer medication under RN supervision and delegation.
Requirements:
  1. A high school graduate or G.E.D certificate.
  2. A current CPR certification.
  3. Successful completion of a state-approved Direct Care Worker or Home Health Aide course.
  4. Be listed in good standing on the Pennsylvania Aide Registry.
  5. Achieve a minimum score of 80% on competency exam (Home Health Aide Test).
  6. Pass the DEARS Ethics test.
  7. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
  8. Possess a valid driver's license and have access to adequate transportation for the job.
Compensation:

We offer competitive pay, training, and paid time off, as well as opportunities for advancement. The estimated annual salary is approximately $35,000-$45,000 based on experience and location.
