About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires commitment, compassion, and a strong understanding of special educational needs. Working alongside the SEN team, you will provide one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils aged 11–16. The role focuses on supporting students with various additional learning needs, including autism (verbal and non-verbal), ADHD, global developmental delay, and dyspraxia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing academic support: Assist pupils with key subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
  • Fostering life skills: Help pupils develop independence and essential life skills to support their future success.
  • Tailored interventions: Offer one-to-one and small group sessions tailored to individual student needs within the SEN base.
  • Emotional and behavioural support: Provide pastoral care and guidance, helping students manage their emotions and behaviour in a positive manner.
  • Collaborating with staff: Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other staff to implement learning plans and ensure the best outcomes for students.
