Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic school in Newport. As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) and behavioural issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher and other teaching staff to provide essential care and support to pupils.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and staff, offering social and emotional support.
- Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies and provide a positive and encouraging environment for pupils to thrive.
- Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with pupils who have ALN, adapting to various situations as they arise.
Requirements:
- Enhanced Child Only DBS Certificate (we can assist with obtaining this).
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- Two professional references covering 24 months.
